Letting us administer a DRA and Dibels test was extremely beneficial and definitely calmed my nerves about what giving those tests would actually be like. 9. Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your classroom! It was such an enriching experience and I loved being able to see such an active lesson take place. I loved how involved the kids were in both their skit and others by giving feedback. I also want to say thank you for giving such great "real-life" teaching advice about social media, parents, students, and so much more.

  11. I will echo what everyone else is saying by saying thank you for letting us invade your classrooms for two hours Friday morning! I personally had a great experience working with Mrs. Scott in her classroom. She was very thorough in her explanations of the Dibels and DRA test. It was the first time we have had hands-on experience with both of those assessments so it was definitely beneficial. Thank you Mrs. Moore for making Friday happen and for being so sweet and passionate about teaching! It was very encouraging to me. I love Dardanelle and am so thankful that you guys care about pre-service teachers like me :)

  12. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience! I can't express how thankful I am! Before this visit, I had an idea of what Dibels and DRA were but I had no idea what they contained or how to administer either. Therefore, it was extremely beneficial to not only watch them be administered, but to administer one myself. Thank you for this one of a kind learning experience. My class and I are very lucky to have learned from such devoted teachers. Thank you, once again, for allowing us to come into your classrooms and learn from you. Also, thank you to the students for being so cooperative and welcoming! (:

  14. I am so glad that you gave us an opportunity to come in and work with some of your students and see how your classrooms are designed. I loved getting to have a hands on experience working with Dibels and DRA tests. I realized after we all sat and talked as a class how different every teacher works through these tests. I also was glad to see positives and negatives with the tests themselves. I loved how after the tests were over we were able to ask teachers questions about the tests and about other challenges they see in the classroom with students. This was truly an awesome experience and it really helped me to understand Dibels and DRA in a way I didn't before observing at Dardanelle. Thank you so much for this opportunity!!

Learning these types of reading assessments from a textbook is very difficult for me but I now have a better understanding of these assessments because of our visit. Mrs. Fox, Thank you for being patient with the group of us that were in your classroom and thank you for answering our questions.
